Church Constitution, Article II: CONFESSION
1. This congregation believes and confesses that the Holy Scriptures, the canonical books of the Old and the New Testaments, are the infallible and inerrant Word of God, revealed for the salvation of men, and therefore, in union with Baptism and the Lord's Supper, the only source and rule of faith, doctrine, and life in the congregation.
2. This congregation accepts each and all of the Symbolical books of the evangelical Lutheran church because they are the true exposition and presentation of the faith once for all delivered to the saints, to-wit: The three ecumenical creeds, viz: The Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds; The Unaltered Augsburg Confession and its Apology; the Smalcald Articles; and Large and Small Catechisms of Luther, and the Formula of Concord. We accept these without reservation or equivocation because they are the true explanation of the Word of God. All preaching and teaching in the congregation shall conform herewith.
3. This congregation also accepts the Fundamental Principles and Rules for Work of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations as adopted in 1967.
